|Content||The public site permits most types of content. However, it does not permit pornography, nudity, and sexually explicit content.||Lab permits all types of content with the exception of child pornogaphy and child erotica -- both are munition and a violation of Federal law.
If you are law enforcement and have a need to evaluate content related to child exploitation, then please contact NCMEC, ICMEC, or your local ICAC. Do not upload prohibited content to this server.
|Retention||The public service retains all content on the server for a minimum of three months. Content may be retained longer than three months if there is enough disk space or if it is being actively accessed by users.||Lab automatically deletes content after 24 hours of inactivity. (If you stop looking at a picture, then it will be removed after 24 hours.) Content removal enforces privacy.|
|Cost||The public site is free, but it is not private and it has a limited number of tools and methods.||Lab is a prepaid upload service. It grants access to more tools, more methods, and privacy for your content. Users pay in advance for upload permission. The rates include bulk discounts; the more you pay in advance, the more upload credits you receive.|
